Dear friends, today I will share with you my experience of the restaurant Osteria Mamma Rosa. I am sure it is well known among the locals, as the establishment represents the gold standard of a typical osteria: fresh products, perfect quality, generous portions of both seafood and meat dishes.
I recommend Mamma Rosa when you want something typical, but not boring – the serving and flavor combinations here are excellent, and the interior is quite nice. It is a very rare mix for an osteria! Perfect for coming with a big company, especially if you’re visiting Italy or need to “dine out” friends traveling to Milan – the atmosphere in the restaurant is genuinely Italian and lively. And what I also liked, we left almost at midnight and the place was still full of guests. You’ve probably faced a situation when already at 11pm the place is emptied, and you can feel waiters glancing at you expecting a call for the bill. So, this is definitely not that case!
The average check is very reasonable: 65 euros with wine per person! And an important addition: the restaurant is open also after 15.00, when most places close for a break.
By the way, Mamma Rosa was founded in 1986, so it can already be considered an institution. And you can conveniently book a table online.
