Milan Christmas markets – program for 2023 🎄

Christmas locations guide

Friends, very soon Milan will plunge into the atmosphere of the most heartwarming and fabulous holiday of the year, which means that the long-awaited Christmas locations will be opened in the city! I’m happy to share with you the current schedule of fairs:

Mercatino in Piazza Duomo (December 1 to January 6)
Every year, Milan’s central square is filled with cute chalets with traditional Christmas treats, handmade gifts and entertainment for children. It’s perfect for walking around the center and cheering up a festive mood. But don’t do it on the weekend – it’s too crowded.

“Oh Bej! Oh Bej!” (December 7 through December 10)
The city’s most important market, held on the occasion of the Feast of Sant’Ambrogio in front of the Sforzesco Castle.
This event is one of Milan’s oldest traditions, where you can buy antiques, toys, Christmas decorations and sweets.

Villaggio delle Meraviglie – Giardini Indro Montanelli (November 18 to January 7)
This year you’ll find not only a Christmas market in Indro Montanelli’s public garden, but also an indoor heated ice skating rink, Santa Claus’ house, a miniature of the nativity scene, a large carousel and plenty of festive activities.

Christmas Magic all’Allianz Mico (December 7 to January 7)
Just in two steps away from CityLife, Milan’s Allianz Mico Convention Center will be transformed into a unique magical space with large-scale decorations, a big Christmas tree, attractions and activities for children. The website states that the exhibition will take place both inside and outside, and promises the opportunity to skate on the icy river!
There is a fee to enter, with a ticket for adults costing 19 euros.

Il Villaggio di Natale al Carroponte (November 18 through January 7)
On the outskirts of Milan, the organizers will try to recreate the magical village of Santa Claus from Lapland with elves, a toy factory, a vintage double-decker carousel, shows and musicals.
There is a fee to enter, with tickets starting at 16.50 euros.

Bagni Misteriosi (November 25 to January 7)
The famous Milanese retro swimming pool Bagni Misteriosi opens the winter season, with Christmas markets, ice skating rink, laboratories for children and a magical holiday atmosphere🎄

Returning to our topic, I’ll add that there will be heated cafes from GUD around the skating rink. The menu is ideal to complement the program.

Tickets start from 3.5 euros, be sure to buy in advance. By the way, if you want to go to the skating rink or children’s laboratories, make sure when purchasing that this is already included in your ticket, otherwise there will be queues!
